WALKING THROUGH THE RAIN is the title of my new release. But in reality the other part of the title should be WITHOUT AN UMBRELLA.

WALKING THROUGH THE RAIN WITHOUT AN UMBRELLA is Rachel’s (main character) mother’s favorite saying. It means that when trouble comes she has no one to help her. She tells her daughter this over and over—not to count on anyone but herself—never to trust anyone, especially a sweet-talking boy.
It’s the mother’s bitter response to the disappointments and tragedies in her own life. She wants her daughter to learn to rely on herself—only.
But if that’s what we do, then where does God fit in?
God doesn’t want us to depend on ourselves. He wants us to trust and depend on him. And I know from my own personal experience God is trustworthy. He is faithful and his mercies are new every morning.
These are lessons Rachel and her mother need to learn.
So the question becomes will they learn the lesson or not?
You’ll just have to read the book to find out!
