BOOK REVIEW: The Edge of Over There by Shawn Smucker

The Edge of Over There is the second in the series with The Day The Angels Fell being the first. It’s classified as a YA book, young adult. After having read the book, I’m not sure I would recommend it for younger teens but I think 15 and above would find the story interesting.

Because I hadn’t read the first book, I think that put me at a disadvantage at the beginning of the story. I was more than a little confused. Eventually the fog of confusion lifted and I enjoyed the book. But getting to that point took longer than I would have preferred.

Having said that Mr. Smucker is an excellent writer and certainly knows how to spin a tale with both suspense and supernatural components. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Christian stories with a twist of the supernatural.

I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

UNTIL NEXT TIME, GOD BLESS & GOOD READING!
