BOOK GIVEAWAY!

My WRITER OF THE DAY is Nike Chillemi.  Nike and I go way back….we’ve never met in person, but we’re in some of the same writing groups and we’ve often helped each other out. So, I’m very excited to have her here. Nike has put together a great giveaway for one of my readers.  She’s going to give away a copy of each of her earlier novels in the Sanctuary Point series–that’s three books!  These are ebooks,, just so you know. To win the books, leave a comment. The winner will be chosen on April 1.

Like so many writers, Nike started writing at a very young age. She still has the Crayola, fully illustrated book she penned (penciled might be more accurate) as a little girl about her then off-the-chart love of horses. Today, you might call her a crime fictionista. Her passion is crime fiction. She likes her bad guys really bad and her good guys smarter and better.

Her latest release, Darkest Hour is the fourth in the Sanctuary Point series, a murder mystery sent in the  late-1940s and, of course, there’s a touch of romance. A widow is framed by powerful people but she didn’t pull the trigger. Can she find out who?

Here are the opening lines from DARKEST HOUR:

Lucinda Byrne backed further away from the dead body of her boss, the sides of his suit jacket wide open. Blood oozed from a hole in the center of his chest and spread over the front of his white dress shirt and yellow tie. Dark, angry red… sticky…

OOOH…sounds good to me!

DON’T FORGET, leave a comment if you want to be entered to win the book package.  And here’s a question to answer if you can’t think of anything to write: What do you enjoy most when reading historical fictions?

By the way, if you’re wondering, DEE was the winner of Matthew R. Horn’s book from last week’s giveaway.  Congratulations, DEE.

GOD BLESS & GOOD READING!

  1. Hi ladies, I loved all of your comments and would like to give each of you a copy of the first book of my series. BURNING HEARTS. It’s a whodunit with a sweet romance and introduces many of the main characters in the later books.

  2. I enjoy reading historical fiction very much but love just a touch of mystery with it too.
Thanks for entering me in the giveaway.

  3. I left my comment & in the process I Pressed This article. Now my comment is gone and I don’t know if it’s being moderated, or if I messed up. Anyway, I don’t want to lose my opportunity to enter this great giveaway.

  5. Hello, Lillian. This is awesome. I just met Nike this past week on google+, and I was saying to her that I was glad to unit (misspelled) with her and that I was looking forward to learning more about who she is and what she does. Her hysterical reply was, “Is that a new dance or something?” My husband and I were just laughing about that, what a sense of humor this woman has! I can’t wait to delve into her work, and get to know her better! I already have a great fondness from her sense of humor and her kindness! I know that whoever wins this will be tremendously blessed.

Take care Lillian and God bless you.

  7. This would be a great new author for my daughter to read. She is a special little girl we home school and she is in “8th” grade but doing sophomore college writing this year. Yes she is my budding little writer today she had to write 300 words for her writing class. She was complaining about having to do it but after she got going she ended up writing over 1000 words.

  8. I love historical fiction, it takes me back in time and also I love series as I look forward I can’t wait to get to the next book and the next book!!!!.
